Kimberly S. Young

Kimberly earned her Associates in Science in Paralegal Studies from Davenport College in 1994. She interned at the Kent County Defenders Office in 1994. While working full time at a Grand Rapids firm, Kimberly went on and earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Davenport College in 1997. She then worked several years as a case analyst for the Chapter 12 and 13 Bankruptcy Trustees.

While in law school, Kimberly received awards for her excelled performance in Advanced Writing and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Further, Kimberly spent a year assisting persons with disabilities, mainly facing employment and education discrimination issues, at Disability Advocates of Kent County. Kimberly graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with her Juris Doctorate in May 2007 and passed the July 2007 bar examination. Remarkably, Kimberly accomplished all of this while working and raising a family, giving her a depth of experience that many fairly-new attorneys lack.

Kimberly has spent the past seven years representing debtors in bankruptcy cases both in the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan. She is also on the Board of Directors and an acting officer of the Debtors Bar of West Michigan.

Here at Apple Street Law Office, P.L.C., Kimberly continues to represent debtors in chapter 7, 12, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. She also assists persons who have been denied Social Security Disability benefits. Kimberly also represents clients in divorce matters, civil actions, estate planning, and defending adults and juveniles charged with criminal offenses.

Kimberly has been actively practicing in Barry County for almost four years and is active in the community. She is an active member of the Barry County Bar Association and the Kiwanis Club of Hastings. Call our office today to schedule a free consultation with Kimberly!
